Runecrafting is often thought of as the least fun skill in the game, and as the communities least favourite-to-do activity, there's no wonder everyone loves the Runecrafting "minigame"; Crafting Blood Runes is an AFK, profitable way to play OSRS for reaching level 99 Runecraftingâ for the RC Cape, Max Cape, or for a quest requirement, usuallyâ without sacrificing the enjoyment of Oldschool Runescape.
In this article we talk about the metrics of this activity and the little tricks you can use to make it better, such as

Most people opting out of 1.5T or 2 Tick Woodcutting like to do Teak or Mahogany trees at level 50, if ever, to unlock the faster-to-99 method of Sulliusceps at 65 (while 2T Teaks are the best for experience rates).
However, most people forget that cutting Mahogany trees up to or at level 99 offers 375 to 450 Mahogany Logs per hour, for 45,000 to 48,000 xp/hr - with 300-400 Logs cut per hour cut from Level 50 up until that point (link: additional reading: OSRSWiki on logs cut pre-99). A player hoping to profit from Woodcutting can expect to earn just ~140,000-154,000k gp/hr from their money making method. This document aims to increase the player's yield of Mahogany Logs per hour, their profit from each log via additional processing of the materials, increase the effective value (to the player) of the logs in experience or GP, and increase their power within the market or related markets of the Mahogany Log. â
For About Mahogany Trees, Levels 60 - 99 Woodcutting:
The cost of maintaining 1x Rune Dragon alt alongside a main account would be around 10m (2x Bonds) every 14 days, so around 14 hours every 2 weeks (rounded down; very much so!) at 1m gp/hr gained with this money-maker, one of the best methods on Oldschool Runescape. However, the purpose of an alternate account is to generate income to fund the progress of another, meaning the items gained are dumped for GP for other items to be bought and progress to be made, with the goal of generating enough GP to cover these bonds plus enough profit to make the money-maker worthwhile, as is the case with all alt accounts on OSRS.
This document aims to highlight the benefits of converting most items gathered by a Rune Dragon alternate account directly into progress, bypassing the middleman of GP and optimizing the extra load which would normally be offset by the labour provided by the workers whom process the items normally for profit, paid for by the losses made by selling to buy [items], by integrating production seamlessly into regular account progression and activities of the grind. â
